I like them and for that reason, the characters on Star Trek, and some others. Very leveling, but satisfying. The thing is, some people, even if they wear them, stand out. I would say that of David Sedaris who we, my brother and I, went to hear read this evening. Even though he wears the "sensible guy" uniform (button up, khakis, jacket (I bet) and brown shoes), you can tell he's special.
I often reject that type...you know, the one whose kilt fits just-so while confidently wielding her hockey stick swiftly cross field.
But Sedaris makes one laugh (and think), so he's better than special. Even if he is popular. Like I said, you just can't help but like them.
