une peste: of mosquitoes

We've been struck by the meanest hatch of blood thirsty skeeters (as in suck the life out of you). They are small, fast, precise and are arriving in droves. This morning, a legion molested my poor (first day kindergarten!) child while I took his portrait. They injected poison in each of my legs producing about eight dollars of quarter size welts. Where did this strain come from and why so many? Why so ferocious?

This afternoon we drove into the yard and they dive-bombed the truck's windows. True story.

Thinking that Irene would be a great solution to this problem. Or maybe I should just call Justin?
