savannah film festival: sinead cusack

Today at SCAD's Crites Hall, Sinéad Cusack delighted, entertained and enlightened performing arts students with tales of her career fears, foibles and fumbles and her trajectory in learning how to craft and deliver her Shakespearean performances. Not only did she make us laugh, she generously gave several tips for practicing investigation, some physical experience of our work and empathy toward the characters (or subjects) we portray. Cusack also took several questions from students, kindly recognizing the plight of the performer, and at once, encouraging them to "try it all" and to lumber courageously up - or through - the mountains they encounter.
