One of my first art making memories: defiling magazine covers and their models primarily by erasing out fangs and adding in mustaches and angry eyebrows. Definitely my first lessons in additive and subtractive methods in mark-making. Today, I've made that process possibly even more awesome by adding collage and paint. Thank you to Cedric Smith who originally took a photograph of me that I've now printed, pasted and painted upon.
Plus, plus, plusses all around! Don't you think the March issue of Town & Country looks so much improved? I think it looks as it should in this version. I'm sure I'm not the only artist who holds a similar view (with their own face inserted, of course).
