Working on a project that requires the use of herb names. Not as in George W's father's middle name.

Basil W. Duke, a confederate general from Kentucky, survived gunshot during the Civil War (which narrowly missed his spine) and went on to lawyer, write and generally get things organized afterward.

Unfortunately, in 1916, he died up north (of all places) after having surgery to remove one or part or both of his legs.
